Banned Terror Orgn Claims Quetta Hospital Bombing
Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), a spin-off of the Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan, both of which are banned, has claimed the responsibility for Friday's suicide bombing at Civil Hospital, Quetta.
11 persons, including a senior police official and a television cameraman were killed and over 30 others injured in the bombing.
An anonymous caller phoned media saying he was speaking on behalf of the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and claimed responsibility for the ghastly attack.
Police are estimating that over 15 kilograms of explosives were used in the suicide bombing.
The powerful blast caused extensive damage to the emergency ward of the hospital and some nearby buildings.
