Two Suicide Bombers kill 46 in Kohat Refugee Camp
Two burqa clad suicide bombers blew themselves up in a camp for refugees near Kohat, killing 46 people and wounding 62.
The blasts occurred at a food distribution point. The camp is oftenused by foreign humanitarian groups, including the World Food Program, to deliver aid.
The two suicide bombers struck six minutes apart at a camp in the Kacha Pukka area, a tribally administered region close to the Afghan border and close to Kohat district. They were wearing burqas, a police official said.
Government official Dilawar Khan Bangash said 46 people were killed and 62 were wounded in the attack.
The camp was for people who fled from the Orakzai district, where the army has been hunting out Taliban rebels since the end of last year. The camp housed between 1,000 and 2,000 people.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility.
Casualties may rise further.
