The people of Lahore have been wondering who or what is (mis)managing the electricity supply in the city.
In the Multan Road area there is load shedding every alternate hour. This simply means people have to go without electricity for 12 hours in every 24 hours period.
The people living around the Multan Road area are still among the luck ones. They at least know when electricity supply will be with drawn from them.
Islampura is also suffering load shedding every alternate hour.
The Krishan Nagar locality of Islampura has load shedding every alternate hour and one four hour chunk of load shedding at noon every day. Wonder why they are being favoured this way.
In Wahdat Colony LESCO is not observing any load-shedding schedule. They shut the power whenever they feel like it and for as long as they wish. When someone phones in a complaint, the pat reply is "generation capacity insufficient".
Lalazar seems to be a bit better. Nine hours of load shedding per 24 hour period.
Garhi Shahu is faring still better. Just an hour long spell of load shedding twice day.
Allama Iqbal Town area is also suffering load shedding every alternate hour.

According to information received from Lahore via text messages, the situation is still the same. The inner city is being supplied electricity only 12 hours per 24 hour hour period, the outages being of two hour durations alternately.
The management of LESCO is discriminitaing like hell. Localities such as Model Towm, Gulberg, Defence, Mayo Gardens, Shadman Colony, The Shahrahe Quaide-Azam, Canal Bank, Riwaz Gardens, etc. are experiencing LESS load-shedding per 24 hour period as compared to Ichchra, Wahdat Colony, Islampura, Sanda, Mughalpura, Rehmanpura, Shadbagh, Mozang, etc.
Garhi Shahu, probablu due to its nearness to the Railway HQ and establishments is also experiencing less load-shedding
