Links between criminals, police and CIA
The DEputy Superintendent Police, Rang Mahal Lahore has alleged in a televised Press Conference that senior officials of the Punjab Police and the CIA (Crimes Investigating Agency -- no connection with the Central INtelligence Agency USA) tried pressure himfor the release of a criminal caught red-handed looting a shop.
The D S P, Imran Babar named senior police and CIA officials who had pressurized him and threatened him.
The Inspector General Police Punjab has instituted a departmental inquiry committee and suspended D S P Imran Babar from his duties for violation of departmental discipline.
Police Officers are not allowed to hold Press Conferences.
Police Officers in Punjab hold Press Conferences almost on a daily basis, and so far as is known, no action has been taken against any other police officer.
Stay tuned.

I saw this DSP in TV talk show today. He really let the Punjab Law Minister, Rana Sanaullah have it.

This is a worldwide phenomenon. There are always some bad eggs in the police who patronize crime.

I always pray and hope that the good ones outnumber the bad ones in the police.
I think that this police officer has done a good job by not buckling down to pressure.
